100 Hours in Europe's Most Corrupt Country

We traveled to Azerbaijan with only 100 hours, without a guide or translator, hoping to meet locals and explore beyond the capital. We visited Baku, learned about the country's complex history and political tensions, and connected with a family after struggling to communicate with people in the city. We then traveled with a local teenager and his uncle into the countryside, where we camped in the mountains, shared food and stories, and experienced their generosity and kindness.
