100 Hours Inside Syria's Failed Dictatorship (heartbreaking journey)

We explore parts of Syria that were previously forbidden to foreigners after the fall of the al-Assad regime, including the medieval Krak des Chevaliers castle and the Mediterranean coast near Latakia. We travel with Ghaidaa to Yarmouk, the Palestinian refugee neighborhood where she grew up, and witness the destruction of her childhood home and the memories connected to it. We also begin our visit to the notorious Sednaya prison, one of the darkest places associated with the former regime.
