24 Hours in a Country that "Technically" Doesn't Exist (Mongol Rally Ep. 4)

We drive our Big Bertha school bus across Moldova and attempt to enter Transnistria, an unrecognized region with its own government, military, borders, and Soviet symbolism. We explore Tiraspol with our local guide, visit Lenin monuments, Soviet cafes, theaters, and memorials, and learn about daily life, prices, and the region’s history. We also visit a self-sufficient village home, sample homemade food and drinks, and experience the hospitality of local residents.
