5 Days Tent Camping on a Ship in Remote Alaska

We sailed about 1,000 miles west from Homer toward Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands, spending five days camping in a tent on the deck of a remote ferry. We explored ports including Kodiak and Cold Bay, adapted to a slow routine of sleeping, eating, reading, and watching the ocean, and learned about the islands' Indigenous history and fishing communities. We finally arrived in Dutch Harbor, where we stayed in the Aleutians to continue our journey.
