7 Days Living with the Nomads Of Iran

We joined a Bakhtiari nomadic family and their flock of sheep and goats as they crossed the Zagros Mountains toward their summer pasture. We hiked through dangerous gorges, steep mountain paths and rushing rivers, helped herd the animals, shared meals and tea, and experienced the family's demanding daily routines. After a week, we said goodbye to the family, reflecting on the beauty and hardship of a traditional lifestyle that is increasingly close to extinction.
