A Stranger’s Email Got Me To Meet The Dalai Lama

We traveled for 30 hours to Dharamshala in northern India for the chance to meet the Dalai Lama and ask him one question. We explored Dharamshala, visited the Tibetan Children’s Village, and learned about the experiences of Tibetan refugees. We asked how he would advise young people struggling with anxiety and depression, and he emphasized altruism, compassion, and seeing humanity as one community.
