A Trip to the Outskirts of Yangon, Myanmar

We traveled by boat and taxi to Chonte, a town on the outskirts of Yangon, where we visited a quiet pagoda and explored local markets. We ate at a local restaurant, trying pork, rice, fish paste, soup, and steamed fish. We then walked through an especially crowded and unpleasant-smelling market filled with fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, flowers, and clothing before leaving.
