Abandoned Alone in an African Tribe

We traveled for about 15 hours into eastern Cameroon, near the border of the Central African Republic, to spend 24 to 36 hours with the Baka people. We were welcomed into their village, learned about their lives, helped set hunting traps, searched for food and water, and joined their evening singing and dancing. When local authorities suspected that we were spies, we had to leave quickly, drive back to the airport, and fly home to Paris.
