Alone in a Cabin in the Woods (Montana)

We drove into the Montana forest, hiked several miles with our dog, and stayed in a remote cabin without internet, electricity, or cell service. We collected water and firewood, made a fire, cooked, explored the outhouse, and reflected on the beauty and challenges of solitude in the wilderness. After a restless night, we cleaned the cabin, left kindling for the next visitor, and hiked back toward civilization.
