Arriving at Venezuela & Brazil Border (overwhelming situation)

We leave Manaus and travel north by bus to Boa Vista and then Pacaraima, near the Venezuelan border, documenting the large number of Venezuelan refugees and the difficult conditions they face. We learn about Venezuela’s economic crisis and speak with Brazilian and Venezuelan residents about migration, safety, and the changes brought to the border town. We also investigate the tense, unofficial crossings into Venezuela and the growing friction between local Brazilians and Venezuelan migrants.
