Arriving in Northern Mozambique (government told me not to come)

We fly from Maputo to Pemba in Cabo Delgado, where we visit a displacement settlement and speak with people who fled insurgent violence. We explore the tense military presence, meet local residents and see the contrast between impoverished communities and beach resorts. We then travel to Quelimane to document the devastation caused by Cyclone Freddy, visiting damaged homes and hearing how families are rebuilding after losing their possessions.
