Becoming A Monk In Thailand For 24 Hours

We traveled to a meditation center in Thailand, where we met the respected monk Phra Maha Vudhijaya Vajiramedhi and learned about Buddhist culture. One of us had his head and eyebrows shaved, received a monk's robe, and became a novice for 24 hours. We practiced meditation, ate mindfully, spent time with the monks and students, and later took part in the ceremony to return to lay life.
