We arrived in Aswan and explored Elephantine Island, walking through its quiet Nubian village, meeting locals, drinking tea, and discovering its mud-brick homes, farms, and viewpoints. We wandered through the island’s maze-like paths and climbed a tower before taking a sunset cruise on the Nile. We ended the day by jumping from the boat and swimming in the Nile.
