Biking Across America (the finale)

We extend our bike trip to 36 days and abandon the original route in favor of the Great American Rail Trail, adding extra miles but avoiding busy roads. We ride through cold, rain, mud, mechanical problems, steep hills, flat tires, and nighttime darkness while traveling across Ohio and toward West Virginia and Pennsylvania. We are joined by family members for part of the journey, and together we push through some of the most difficult days of the ride.
