Central America Backpacking Trip | Ep3: Guatemala

We recover from a stomach bug in Antigua, explore the colonial city and visit a local homestay before hiking up Pacaya Volcano to roast marshmallows over the lava. We then begin a three-day trek from Xela toward Lake Atitlan, climbing through cloud forests, farmland and Mayan villages while learning about local communities. Along the way, we stay with local families, eat together, use a traditional Mayan sauna and admire the mountain scenery.
