Cholita Wrestling?! La Paz, Bolivia

We continued our Carnival celebrations in La Paz by taking a tour to El Alto to watch a Cholita wrestling match. We saw the traditionally dressed women perform theatrical WWE-style fights, while the lively crowd threw foam and even broccoli. We left abruptly when most of the other visitors had gone, but we thought the experience was incredibly entertaining and worth planning a trip around.
