Climbing 5,644M (18,500Ft) - Everest Base Camp Trek Day 9

We started walking at 4 a.m. and climbed to the summit before sunrise, where we enjoyed spectacular views of Everest before clouds moved in. We descended more than 1,000 meters, stopped for lunch, and walked for around six hours to reach the guest house. Along the way, we learned that Nathan had proposed to Michelle near the summit and that a group member had been airlifted to Kathmandu with altitude sickness and a cold.
