Climbing the Highest Mountain in North Africa // Mt. Toubkal, Morocco 4167m المغرب

We travel from Marrakech to Imlil and begin ascending Mount Toubkal through beautiful mountain valleys, stopping for food and spending the night at a refuge. After a storm forces us to turn back on our first summit attempt, we set out again before dawn, despite a broken crampon, strong winds, cold, and low oxygen. We reach the summit and descend exhausted, reflecting on the difficulty of the climb and recommending a guide because the trail can be hard to follow.
