Climbing The Tallest Mountain In North Africa

We flew from Athens to Morocco after deciding to climb Mount Toubkal, initially planning a solo hike before reuniting with friends and joining a local guide. We traveled by van to Imlil, bought the gear we needed, and trekked through the Atlas Mountains to a mountain refuge. We woke before dawn, climbed through the freezing darkness, and reached the summit in time for sunrise over the Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert.
