Convincing Strangers at Airport to Fly Somewhere Else with us

We went to Los Angeles International Airport to convince a stranger to abandon their travel plans and join us on a 24-hour trip to their dream destination. After several failed attempts, we met a family heading to Atlanta who agreed to fly with us to Honolulu, though we had to arrange care for their dog and narrowly missed the first flight. In Hawaii, we explored the North Shore, hiked the Kalia Trail, watched enormous waves and a major surf competition, and formed a lasting friendship with the family.
