Day 1: Arriving in Mongolia's Capital City (most polluted city in world)

We arrive in Ulaanbaatar and explore its contrasting neighborhoods, from informal ger districts without running water or central heating to modern apartments, markets, and the city center. We meet local residents, visit a family’s ger, a water well, a shaman, and a black market, learning about daily life, poverty, migration, and the challenges of extreme cold. We also examine the city’s severe pollution, traffic, coal-burning power plants, and residents’ concerns about corruption, public transport, housing, and the government.
