Day 1: Inside Maduro's Venezuela (surreal experience)

We flew from Madrid to Caracas, met our local guide Lenny, and explored the city’s safer and more upscale Chacao district. We visited a fuel station, market, shopping mall, and local eateries while learning about shortages, inflation, low wages, cash scarcity, and the difficulty of paying for basic goods. We then walked through poorer areas and took the metro, which was free because of staff and maintenance shortages, before reflecting on Caracas and preparing to visit a large slum the following day.
