Discovering The World's Original Coffee Beans in Yemen

We traveled to Jazan in southwestern Saudi Arabia, explored mountain villages near the Yemen border, met local residents, and experienced the culture shared by both countries. We stayed on a coffee farm, learned how coffee cherries are grown and picked, visited ancient inscriptions, and shared a traditional meal. We ended by tasting the farm’s fresh coffee, which we found strong, distinctive, and slightly sour.
