Entering Sudan | Not What I Expected

We spent five days exploring Sudan and found Khartoum and the surrounding areas to be safe, welcoming, and full of vibrant everyday life. We walked through Khartoum at night, cruised along the Nile, watched a craftsman make clay pots, and attended a large alcohol-free concert at the British Council. We also met friendly Sudanese people and experienced a relaxed, hospitable culture that changed our expectations of the country.
