Entering The World's Strangest Country

We spend four days exploring Eritrea, beginning in Asmara with its Italian-style coffee culture, churches, slow internet, cash-only economy, and a vintage bowling alley. We then travel through villages and historic sites, including a tank graveyard, while meeting locals, sharing meals and coffee, and learning about life in the countryside. We visit a camel and livestock market in Keren before joining a remote village wedding, where we experience local hospitality, music, food, and traditional celebrations.
