Exploring Babylon, The World's First City (3,000 Bc)

We travel through central Iraq to explore the ancient city of Babylon after visiting Baghdad and Saddam Hussein’s abandoned palace. We visit the Tower of Babel, the tomb of the prophet Ezekiel, Babylon’s blue gate, ancient ruins, inscriptions, and the lion sculpture, while learning about the city’s history and seeing how closely it is guarded. We also walk through an old Jewish market and reflect on Babylon’s remarkable history and lack of preservation and tourism.
