First Impressions Of Ukraine (one day in Kiev)

We explored Kyiv, starting with the enormous Petryka flea market before riding one of the world's deepest metro systems and visiting the city's underground passages. We toured the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra caves, saw ancient mummies, and enjoyed inexpensive food and coffee. We learned about the Ukrainian Revolution at Independence Square, visited St. Michael's and St. Sophia's cathedrals, watched the sunset from a viewpoint, and celebrated Ukraine's Independence Day.
