Forgotten Muslim Arab Countries - Comoros Islands

We traveled to the remote Comoros Islands, explored Moroni and the surrounding islands, and learned about their Arab, Omani, Yemeni, and Islamic history. We visited mosques, historic sites, volcanic landscapes, and local communities while seeing how Arabic and Islam remain part of life there. We also discussed Mayotte’s continued French administration, the islands’ lack of tourism services, and the environmental problem of plastic waste.
