Getting a Magical Thai Tattoo to Cure Anxiety (Sak Yant)

We explored Bangkok’s amulet market before visiting a small temple to receive a blessing and a traditional Sak Yant tattoo. We learned about the tattoo’s spiritual symbolism, the rules and responsibilities associated with it, and chose an invisible design made with sacred oil to support courage, confidence, and balance. We reflected on how the ritual could encourage us to think better thoughts, speak better words, and do better deeds.
