Giving Up Modern Life to Become a Shepherd (Eastern Europe)

We spend time with shepherds in the Carpathian mountains of Poland as they care for a flock of sheep, live in a mountain hut, make cheese, and protect the animals from wolves. We follow Kamil through a cold, rainy day and learn about the demanding shepherding traditions that are gradually disappearing. At the end of the season, we accompany the shepherds and sheep back to the village, where the community celebrates with the Redyk festival and gives thanks for the pasturing season.
