Harsh Conditions on Streets of Yemen

We traveled through Yemen with an armed guide, visiting the mud skyscrapers of Shibam, the traditional market in Tarim, and a remote valley with a deserted pilgrimage town. We spoke with locals about the war, fuel shortages, inflation, poverty, security, and their hopes for peace and stability. We also visited a local family and learned how people cope with the economic crisis by relying on scarce work and selling firewood.
