Harsh Reality in Nigeria's North (brutal living conditions)

We visited an Al-Majiri Quranic school in Kano, where boys from poor rural families live in crowded rooms, study the Quran, and beg or work to afford food. We attended a traditional wrestling and boxing event, learning about its origins, dangers, and efforts to keep young people away from drugs and crime. We ended our Nigeria trip reflecting on the country’s diversity, its welcoming people, and the many contrasting experiences we encountered.
