We drove an old truck through Sweden and Norway toward the Arctic Circle and eventually the northernmost point in Europe, dealing with deep snow, dangerous road conditions, frozen windscreen wipers, and a cracked windscreen. We struggled to find a place to camp, shoveled snow for a parking spot, and discovered that the truck’s auxiliary battery had stopped powering the heater. After reaching the Arctic Circle, we were turned away from several full campsites but found a cabin where we could shower, do laundry, rest, and prepare for the next part of the journey.
