Hiking The Gulf's Tallest Mountain Solo | Jebel Shams In Oman

We camped overnight on a ridge before setting off alone to climb Jebel Shams, preparing food and gear for a trek that could take up to 13 hours. We followed the rocky trail, navigated a wadi, admired shepherd shelters and dramatic mountain views, and eventually reached the summit area after a challenging climb. We spent time with other hikers and experienced Omani hospitality before descending at sunset and completing the hike in about eight hours.
