Hitching Through Sinaloa | Mexico's Narco State

We travel from Mexico City into Sinaloa, passing through an unofficial checkpoint, trying local beer, getting briefly lost, and staying overnight in Mazatlán. We explore the beach and meet locals who describe the area as safe and welcoming despite its dangerous reputation. We then continue toward Culiacán along cartel transport routes, encountering bullet-riddled buildings, hitching rides, and finally arriving in the city at sunset.
