How Do People Survive in The World’s Narrowest City?

We explored Yanjin, a narrow city squeezed between steep mountains and a polluted river, visiting its market, shops, and neighborhoods while speaking with local residents about life there. We shared tea and meals with people we met, visited a local resident’s apartment, and learned about the city’s culture, affordability, floods, and changing family life. We then hiked a dangerous cliffside route and visited a nearby village for another communal meal.
