How Portuguese is Mozambique?

We explore Maputo and discover that Portuguese is spoken everywhere, from the street signs to everyday conversations, while learning about the city’s Portuguese colonial history. We sample grilled garlic shrimp, peri-peri chicken, fresh coconuts, and seafood from a busy fish market. We find Maputo hectic, colorful, and wild, with influences that remind us of Portugal, India, and Brazil.
