I Arrived in an Arab Country That Does Not Exist - Somaliland

We traveled through Somaliland to learn about its culture, history, food, and way of life, visiting Hargeisa’s open-air currency market and sampling local dishes such as lahoh, camel meat, and food served with bananas. We explored the camel market, learned about mobile-phone payments and qaat, and met local people. On our final days, we visited the ancient cave paintings at Laas Geel and the coastal city of Berbera and its port.
