I Broke My #1 Overlanding Rule Crossing Into a New Country

We crossed from Morocco into Mauritania through a lengthy border process and drove through No Man’s Land before continuing south. After breaking our rule about not driving after dark, we navigated dangerous roads and desert tracks to find a campsite among the dunes. The next day, we continued toward the Atlantic coast, resupplying along the way and finally swimming in the ocean after the long desert drive.
