We travel through Oman for a month and spend a couple of nights wild camping alone near Jebel Shams, beside the tallest mountain in the Gulf. We find a campsite on a dramatic mountain ridge, set up the tent, prepare food on a camp stove, and organize everything for the next day’s 10- to 12-hour trek.
