I can't believe this is Europe

We visited the palace of the self-described king of the Roma people and learned about his wealth, the traditions surrounding his position, and discrimination faced by Roma communities. We then traveled to a poorer area of Romania, where we met a Roma family with seven children and saw their severe living conditions, including a collapsing roof and very limited food and income. We reflected on the sharp divide between wealthy and impoverished Roma families and gave the family money for supplies.
