I Entered Baghdad for the First Time... and Discovered the Spirit of Iraq

We explore Baghdad’s history and culture, visiting the Tigris River, Al-Mutanabbi Street, Al-Qushla Clock, the Shahbandar Café, the Martyr Monument, the Baghdad Museum, and Al-Mustansiriya School. We taste Iraqi specialties including qaymar and kahi, masgouf, Karrada chips, kebab, shawarma, falafel, and traditional drinks while meeting local people and learning about the city’s heritage. We also reflect on Baghdad’s difficult history and hope for its safety and unity.
