I Entered the Richest City in Iraq

We explore Basra, one of Iraq’s oldest cities and its main oil-producing region, visiting its historic areas and learning about the wars and infrastructure problems it has endured. We travel to Al-Faw to see the world’s longest breakwater and learn about the future Grand Al-Faw Port. We also visit a Basrawi home to try local food and see the Palm Trunk Stadium, while discussing Basra’s resources, hospitality, and hopes for the future.
