I Entered the World's Most Dangerous Gang Neighborhoods - Prisons in El Salvador

We visited Mariona Prison in El Salvador and explored its rehabilitation programs, including classrooms, workshops, factories, farms, and vocational training for prisoners preparing to reintegrate into society. We also toured neighborhoods that were once controlled by gangs with the Minister of Justice and Public Security, learning how security measures and government reforms transformed daily life. We concluded by reflecting on El Salvador's efforts to replace violence and despair with safety and hope.
