I Got Kicked Out Of A Bolivian Village!

We hike up into the Bolivian village of Patamanta carrying coca leaves and encounter traditional houses, local clothing, and an abandoned Spanish colonial church. After villagers warn us in Quechua and a local militia checks our passports, we are given 30 minutes to visit the church and leave. We briefly share coca with a local woman before heading back, surprised by the villagers’ suspicion of outsiders.
