I Investigated The Brutal Reality Of Life Along Europe's Eastern Edge

We hitchhiked from Lithuania to Daugavpils, Latvia, to compare the city with Soviet-era photographs and explore what remains of its past. We spoke with local residents, visited Soviet buildings, a café, the railway station, and the university, and travelled around the city by tram. We also saw the White Swan prison, met locals including Igor and Lenid, and tried to visit a bar before ending the day with food, drinks, and views of the Daugava River.
