I Just Spent 2 Crazy Weeks in Syria (Full Story)

We spent 14 days traveling through Syria, beginning in Damascus and visiting Aleppo, villages such as Kazukalabia and Mardad, the coastal cities of Latakia and Tartus, Homs, Sadaad, Maloula, and the historic Krak des Chevaliers. We wandered through old cities, met local people, heard their stories, experienced Syrian food and culture, and saw both the country's beautiful coastline and areas damaged by the war. We also learned about coexistence between different religious communities and set out to show a more positive side of Syria than is usually portrayed in the media.
