We start the day at Cairo Tower, taking in panoramic views across the city and seeing the pyramids in the distance. We then meet Karim and Waleed, try local food, and explore Cairo with them, including a traditional Egyptian tea bar in old Cairo and its historic mosques. We finish the day after experiencing the locals’ hospitality and make plans to visit Karim’s city farther down the Nile before heading to the Red Sea.
