I Made it to Yemen (Crazy First Impressions)

We travel from Istanbul to Yemen, cross the border, and begin a six-day road trip through the country with a local fixer. During our first day, we drive along the coast to Al-Khayda, stop for a home-cooked meal and visit a qat market, while seeing poverty, garbage, military checkpoints, and camels along the way. We end the day safely at a hotel in Al-Khayda after an intense and eye-opening journey.
