I Ran My 1St Marathon In Iraqi Kurdistan

We visit Erbil in Iraqi Kurdistan, learn about the region, and prepare for our first-ever marathon by collecting our race number and getting ready at the starting line. We run through the city, passing several distance markers while dealing with the heat, limited water, fatigue, and traffic on the course. We finish the 42-kilometer race, receive our first medal, and reflect on the pain, pride, and joy of completing it.
